I'm accompanying one of our customers in the distribution sector, located in the west end of Montreal, in their search for a Dispatcher.
Under the supervision of the Supply and Transportation Supervisor, your responsibilities are to :
Receive customer calls and complete pick-up sheets
Allocate routes by sector and by trucker
Maintain pick-up records (prepare daily pick-up reports)
Transcribe monthly delivery and pick-up statistics
Evaluate route requirements on a seasonal basis
Create new reports to meet organizational needs
Meet stores' needs (by providing them with a service)
Evaluate truck drivers' performance by reporting to immediate superior
Monitor trucks on a daily basis using the remote monitoring system in place.
Your profile
High school diploma
3 to 5 years' relevant experience in transportation and distribution
Good command of written and spoken French
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel etc.)
Excellent street knowledge of the metropolitan area, North Shore and South Shore
Autonomy and good organizational skills
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Open-mindedness, tolerance, acceptance and respect for others
Adaptability and honesty
Outstanding customer service and friendliness
