I'm supporting one of our clients in the food sector, located in the west Island of Montreal, in their search for a dispatcher.
Main responsibilities :
-Plan and coordinate food pick-ups by establishing daily driver routes;
-Monitor pick-up progress in real time to ensure execution according to planned deployment and driver schedules;
-Provide effective support to drivers and resolve occasional problems;
-Follow up fuel invoices;
-Participate in the verification of transportation expenses, invoicing and claims;
-Keep Logistics Manager informed of problems and present possible solutions;
-Replace Logistics Manager as required;
-Develop and maintain reports related to the logistics department (Tip);
-Maintain daily roadmap, logistics dashboard and communicate relevant information to operations team.
Skills and Qualifications:
-DEC in transportation logistics or related field;
-Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in a similar position;
-Knowledge and ease with computer tools;
-Fluency in spoken and written French. Functional English;
-Good interpersonal and communication skills;
-Strong time management and organizational skills.
-Collaborative and team spirit;
-Stress management skills;
-Knowledge of the food sector an asset;
-Class 3 driver's license an asset.
PROCESS: Initial interview with Gabriel Lemoine, Fed Supply Recruitment Consultant - followed by an interview with the company's Human Resources Manager and Position Manager.
