I'm currently working with one of my clients in the manufacturing sector. Located in the west end of Montreal, this company is looking for a demand analyst.
Main responsibilities :
• Analyze forecast and challenge it to predict market demand, establish a trend and
improve forecasting accuracy.
• Develop mechanisms to convert statistical forecasting outputs into raw material/component requirements effectively.
• Contribute to ongoing safety stock reviews for finished products and components.
• Identify potential or actual bottlenecks and coordinate the resolution of any issues accordingly.
• Keep sales representatives informed of the impact of any delivery change to manage service level big disruptions.
• Collaborate in the continuous improvement of the operational/demand function in the company.
• Create and maintain KPIs and Dashboards to improve visibility across the process
(sales and operations).
• Identify finished product slow movers and suggest the action to manage inventory (OSMI).
• Identify overstock in other locations that can be redistributed to support sales efforts.
• Extract production data, analyze demand, evaluate performance, report results and adjust standards as needed in collaboration with sales/operations supervisors.
• Maintain and update certain database related to supply chain in SAP.
• Prioritize orders and communicate the dates to customers.
• Support stock-transfer analysis and operations as a back-up.
• Participate in the development of new ideas related to cost reduction and continuous improvement of the operational and demand process.
• Participate in meetings and be the connection between Sales and Operations.
Prerequisites, training and skills :
• University Degree in administration specialization in operations or engineering.
• 5 years of experience in a similar position as demand analyst in a manufacturing
environment.
• Advanced data analysis and Excel skill required (database analysis, VLOOKUP,
dynamic tables).
• Previous experience with SAP (MM and PP modules) is required.
• Must be strong collaborator, team spirit– work seamlessly across functions.
• Ability to prioritize issues and solving problem is essential.
• Excellent knowledge in inventory management.
• Statistic and KPI knowledge
• Demonstrate a high level of proactivity, energy and urgency.
• Tenacious, analytical and organized.
• Results-oriented and solutions-oriented.
• Must have strong communication skills – verbal and written
