Strategic Buyer
Your missions
We are looking for the future strategic buyer for our client in Boucherville in the manufacturing sector.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Strategic Buyer will be responsible for the following tasks :
- Define procurement strategy in conjunction with operations, engineering and sales teams;
- Complete and manage supply contracts for the categories under his/her responsibility;
- Use the Group volume effect;
- Ensure that supplier quality is in line with technical specifications, in partnership with the supplier quality and performance team, to minimize non-conformance costs;
- Manage material cost reduction activities;
- Implement cost-saving initiatives to improve site operational performance;
- Lead the deployment of group raw material and service strategies across the site.
Your profile
What we are looking for in an ideal profile :
- Engineering degree or BAC in business administration with technical knowledge;
- A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, including increasing responsibility and contract negotiation in a manufacturing environment;
- Bilingualism, English and French;
- Be available to travel occasionally to suppliers
- Developed negotiating skills;
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data.
