Your missions
One of our clients in the agri-food manufacturing and distribution industry is looking for a production supervisor. The position is located in Laval.
Reporting to the Production Director, your mission will be:
Perform and coordinate production activities while respecting the proper rotation of stocks and the prescribed deadlines;
Manage the staff under his responsibility on a daily basis, including attendance and performance;
Monitor performance and efficiency for the department;
Follow up on equipment maintenance with employees and the maintenance department;
Ensure the proper application of company policies and procedures in its sector, including HACCP/SQF;
Maintain excellent communications with the team of supervisors;
Ensure adequate management of the space at its disposal;
Demonstrate leadership in maintaining a positive working environment and relationships within your team
Establish the training needs of the staff under his responsibility;
Reduce delays and other discrepancies related to the operations of its sector;
Implement health and safety prevention initiatives within the department;
Implement a cost reduction strategy;
Design and produce relevant periodic operations reports;
Design and produce performance indicators.
Your profile
Combination of relevant training;
Very good knowledge of meat cuts;
Very good command of French (read, written and spoken),
Good knowledge of food processing operations and challenges in a federally inspected and SQF certified plant;
Computer skills: MS Office suite, optical reader systems, ability to learn new software;
Experience as a manager in a food manufacturing environment preferred;
Comfortable with the administrative side of supervising staff: attendance monitoring and management, employee training and development;
Ability to delegate and develop team leaders within his department;
Is oriented towards occupational health and safety;
