We support one of our clients in the field of finished product distribution in their search for a Distribution Center Inventory Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Build and execute a forward-thinking inventory program that includes best-in-class stock management, inventory reporting, vendor analysis, system management, and other supply chain enhancements.
• Develop and drive plans for integration and alignment of inventory programs and systems across key businesses and functions.
• Liaise with Executive Management Team and other internal stakeholders on priority inventory issues, present to Management inventory scorecards and KPIs that provides insights and generate actions to drive improvements.
• Identify gaps in inventory control and build solution-based models, implement best practices and make recommendations to leadership about improvements in inventory life cycle.
• Lead the development and ensure maintenance of inventory policies.
• Manage and monitor all related projects.
• Establish, monitor, and report inventory performance goals and metrics.
• Identifies inventory discrepancies, investigates root causes, and recommends improvements to cross-functional teams for the purpose of obtaining high levels of inventory accuracy.
• Participate in full stock reviews and forecasting– ensuring our offering meets market needs.
• Build & maintain internal data tracking tools using Excel and PowerBI.
• All other related duties as required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in developing, leading, and implementing corporate inventory programs.
• Post-secondary Certification/Courses in Inventory Management, Supply Chain or Logistics required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office – strong excel skills
• Slim stock Knowledge and SX Knowledge (preferred), and PowerBI (required)
• Experience in the distribution industry is an asset
• Ability to represent the Company’s inventory efforts internally and externally, recommend strategic opportunities and deliver innovative solutions
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
