Your missions

We are looking for a manager who would be in charge of managing the factory warehouse, receiving and shipping all products, raw materials, packaging materials and others that meet quality and safety standards.

Your responsibilities will be :

Plan and direct the activities of the Shipping and Receiving departments, based on the needs of the other departments.
Develop and maintain shipping and receiving plans and procedures.
Define the policies and standards of service, including safety procedures and procedures for handling hazardous materials.
Develop the operations structure and efficiency.
Control and optimize the overall internal physical flow, such as the movement of merchandise, raw materials, packaging materials, etc.
Look after the maintenance of temperature standards during shipping.
Make sure that shipping and receiving are following quality/operational standards.
Supervise shipping and receiving schedules.
Periodically produce the required reports—for example, an inventory report, shipping and receiving report, quantity adjustment report, etc.
Oversee planning for packaging
Scheduling production and labor to meet sales requirements.
Facilitate equipment downtime for routine maintenance activities.
Support product improvement testing.
Ensure that standards for quality and food safety are observed.
Supervise daily activities in the Shipping, Receiving, and Building Sanitation departments.
Plan, organize, control, and evaluate the operations of packaging departments
Coordinate, assign, and review the work of stock handlers.
Define performance objectives and evaluate productivity.
Ensure employees' training about their work, safety standards, and corporate policies.
Look after health and safety within the various departments.
Provide coaching and further training.
Set yearly objectives for supervisors in line with business development guidelines and plant development needs.
Manage yearly evaluations of supervisors.
Look after efficiently organizing the warehouse, in cooperation with the receiving, production, and shipping departments.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in operations, logistics, or study related.
• Five (5) years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, and inventory management.
• Five (5) years of experience supervising employees in a unionized environment.
• Strong analytical, initiative, and synthesis skills.
• Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication in French and English.
• Strong Interpersonal relations skills.
• Accounting systems acknowledge.
• Experience in the Food industry.
• Experience with logistics and inventory software.
• Experience within a unionized environment.
