One of our clients is a multinational manufacturer in the aerospace industry. Situated in Ville St-Laurent, Quebec, they are looking for a contract manager that will review, analyze and negotiate contracts.
Report to the chief of the department, here are your responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of projects related to the department;
• Ensure adherence to budget targets;
• Negotiate contracts with external customers.
• Work in close relationships with colleagues of various functional teams to initiate, investigate, evaluate, prioritize and implement solutions to department issues;
• Create and follow project schedules to meet the department requirements;
• Evaluate commercial impacts of technical change and prioritize them;
• Control department costs (manpower, material, and other direct costs), negotiate with suppliers in terms of schedule, technical scope, and commercial impact;
• Supervise prioritization of change management projects;
• Lead internal and external governances to provide visibility on the department’s performance;
• Work in a cross-functional environment where you will interact with all management levels;
• Identify potential problems, risks, and ops. Manage risk and ops by mitigating them along with functional teams.
You are completing a University degree in a related field (Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent) or you can demonstrate extensive experience in project management linked to operations;
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience and ideally, in a Procurement environment;
You have excellents negociation skills for contracts with external customers;
You have great leadership skills in project management and have an interest for commercial negotiation;
You have good language skills: Bilingual English and French (asset);
You have good knowledge of manufacturing concepts and processes and the ability to relate them to financial performance;
You have excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office suite, TEAMS, with knowledge of data base management, scheduling and spreadsheets.
