Your missions

We are looking for one of our clients, in the field of distribution, a customs compliance specialist for our client located in Ville Saint-Laurent.

Your responsibilities:

• Ensure customs compliance of imports and exports with Canadian and/or US Customs (CBP) and Partner Government Agencies;

• Ensure the compliance of internal procedures and policies related to the transportation of goods and customs;

• Ensure the classification of items and the accuracy of customs rates in the Richelieu system;

• Support the sending of documents to US and Canadian customs by preparing documents for the export/import of goods;

• Stay informed and act proactively on changes in regulations, classifications and export requirements;

• Prepare documentation for export and import;

• Manage claims for overpaid customs fees and retrocession of customs duties (duty drawback);

• Verify export/import invoices.

Your profile

• DEC in transport or logistics
• SCD/CSCB Certification
• Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position or with a customs broker
• Knowledge of import/export regulations mainly for the United States and Canada, and secondarily for Europe and Asia
