One of our clients, a multinational aerospace company, is looking for a contract specialist for indirect goods. The position is permanent full-time, in hybrid mode.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for:
* Develop new sources of supply and develop strategic business relationships.
* Develop negotiation strategies.
* Lead and participate in the development of convenience by leading projects that require the preparation of a business plan.
* Lead, develop and execute commodity strategies and provide senior management with project status and negotiations.
* Identify, analyze and materialize cost reduction opportunities.
* Develop, improve and maintain an ongoing dialogue with the various internal and external stakeholders.
* Act as single point of contact with suppliers for new business opportunities.
* Provide support to sites and business units regarding global procurement strategies.
* Coordinate and lead the negotiation of contractual claims with suppliers in support of business unit production issues.
* Support business units in the application of contractual clauses.
* Conduct contract negotiations with suppliers.
* Ensure that contracts are maintained in accordance with our business requirements.
* Coordinate the activities of the supply agents in relation to the objectives of the balanced scorecard, the master plans and the detailed plans.
* Support procurement agents in negotiating contracts, commercial requests, product changes and contract amendments.
* Participate in the governance of cost reduction projects and adequately maintain the performance indicators of these projects.
* Actively participate in program reviews with customers/suppliers conducted by the business units.
* Develop and coach team members on various procurement initiatives and procedures.
* Support the Manager in the performance management process.
* You have an undergraduate degree in business administration or equivalent.
* You have seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
* You have experience in the aerospace and/or manufacturing industry and/or program management in a commercial role, an asset.
* You are recognized for your great capacity for negotiation and project management.
* You are detail oriented, focused and committed to meeting deadlines.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills and are fluent in French and English, both orally and in writing.
* You have good knowledge of operational and financial management, as well as terminology and legal interpretation of contracts.
* You are familiar with the concepts of just-in-time supply logistics, integrated supply chain and "lean manufacturing".
* You master Microsoft Project applications and an ERP.
