One of our clients is a Quebec distributor of children's products.
Located in Plateau Mont Royal, Quebec, they are looking to add a buyer to their team.
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, the following are the responsibilities of the position:
• Evaluate and analyze the needs to establish the quantities to order based on forecasts and sales history as well as the needs of the company's various business units (store, web, sales representation, order office and bids, merchandising and marketing).
• Manage inventory, which includes tracking and adhering to company-prescribed inventory management models;
• Closely support the Category Management team to harmonize the offer & assortment as well as meet customer expectations/needs.
• Prepare orders and negotiate appropriately with supplier partners.
• Facilitate an open relationship between the company's various stakeholders and participate in the sustainability of solid and lasting supplier relationships.
• Use technological tools such as integrated management software
• College diploma in administration or certification in logistics or purchasing.
• Experience required: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience related to the role offered.
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ease in an SME structure, able to create and deliver quickly and independently.
• Very good command of French and English both orally and in writing.
• Intermediate Excel level.
